Rustoleum makes specially touch up paint for cars that match the factory color perfectly go on there website they hav the match up tool to get the perfect factory color once u get the number go to an auto store they should hav it :)

Rustleom has some stuff for that too, I wouldn't recommend buying any rust remover or anything of that nature unless it's one of the rustoleum car rust remover tiny applicants if not don't bother bc it only makes the job more work and a pain. (trust me)
Just Sand the spot clean and use the exact same factory color from rustoleum. But remember be careful sometimes u can make the rust or spot worse that's why I'm tellin u to use the stuff rustoleum makes for cars

I highly recommend rustoleum I used it to fix up my jeep. I undercoated my jeep with it I fixed the hinges and the paint chips also the bumper it holds up well and you can treat it the same as regular car paint it will hold up and last

Here are some pics of what I did with it....

I had chips on my hood and they got fixed perfectly :) any questions let me know I'll be happy to help

Yeah, what they say. :thumb:

I had a chip on the very front of my hood (Stone White 97 TJ). I went to Auto Zone and bought the Rustoleum touch-up for Chrysler. Check you paint code on your drivers door jamb. Mine was P71. I just masked around the chip (it was oblong), and kept putting layers on to build it up to the good paint level, waiting 15 minutes before each. The Rustoleum cap has to tips - one is like a ballpoint pen for dabbing small, round chips, and the other end is a brush.

Thank you all! I'll try to do that this weekend. Lots of great advice! Now that I have the wrangler app on my phone I remember to get on here more for advice. Being a noo-b has it's disadvantages, but with advice like this I'll never have a prob. Thanks

This is just the thread I was looking for.
So I went to the Rustoleum site but don't find my code color. I searched both ways in the date search but nothing in that code or color description comes up.The door jam says ' PJC '. It is the gold-ish color some refer to as the 'Barbie Jeep' color. It's actually a pretty common color but maybe there's a different code or a better source for the touch up paint?
Any help ?
