Is lying or can literally make things happen with their minds. This has been one of the most pain in the ass installs i've ever done.

Wow! Aside from the sensor, I did it while my wife was making dinner. Sensor is not as straight forward as they try to make it. But AfE is a crappy company anyway.

After my exhaust I regret buying them both at the same time. I say send it back! Buy someone else's. You are better off asking for help fr

om a person at bestbuy than an AFE employee! Edit: Post the issue you are having. I would be glad to help you, since AFE is not gonna.

Really sorry your having issues with your install. I have both their CAI and exhaust and am very satisfied with both. Mine is on a 2012 JK. Both were quick and easy installs after a real close look at the instructions and the Jeep. Having all the tools readily at hand and as much pre assembly as you can do makes for fewer surprises.

Hope it gets better, I like the sound from both and got a nice bump in mpg. I would comment on the performance, but that is to subjective.

Sorry for your grief. I installed an afe CAI a month ago. Overall it wasn't difficult. The two hardest things were removing the sensor from the stock piece and getting the main tube to clamp tight enough around the box. I thought I had it tight enough but after driving for a week or so I checked it and the male/female had separated a bit. I had to tighten it down more than I thought and haven't had an issue since.

Anyone with a 2012+ that is thinking about a CAI, just send me the money for it instead. I'll put it to good use and you'll get the same performance gain. :D

The exhaust stud must be a new addition to the jk, my AFE exhaust needed to be cut to fit all the way on. How tight did you tighten the clamps on the install? I broke the clamp bolts trying to get the thing to not leak. But it still leaks. And they still haven't sent me replacement clamps after many calls and emails and them saying they were sending them.

I finally figured out what was wrong they had sent me the box and filter for a 2007-11 and the tube and clamps for a 12-15. Didn't think it would be that big of a problem but they don't fit together lol. Once I had the correct parts install only took me 30 mins. Only thing I noticed was the rubber mounts that you push the stands into wouldn't stay but no big deal i just tightened the bolt down really nice. I am installing the exhaust today so we will see how that goes. I'm not very impressed with the welding on the exhaust, but I guess we will see how it is after I get it installed.

I thought that was a weak clamp and picked up a much stronger and easier to tighten clamp from a muffler shop. I think it was 4-5 bucks and worked great. The exhaust fits up and out of the way, also the sound is just what I was hoping for. Overall very pleased with the CAI and exhaust.

I used an impact driver to tighten them and then I hand wrenched em a bit tighter. I also used high temp sealant around it as well. The only problem I had was the over axle pipe wouldn't go all the way in so it's got about 1/4 of an inch before it hits the frame. Overall install took me about 2 hours (if I had a grommit puller it wouldve only taken me 45 mins lol) It started snowing on me so I'll go take pictures later.
