Howdy all, been lurking around here for some time trying to research as much as I can before posting. I have a 2015 2-door Sahara and my goal since getting this beauty a month ago was to replace all my lights with LEDs. Much success with headlights, fog lights, reverse lights, and interior. I am stuck right now trying to figure out the rear brake/turn signals, as well as the front turn signal and side marker. I had tried some amber LEDs for the front that were recommended on here and got a hyperflash. All but given up.

Is there anyway to do these with a flasher relay and where is it located (Also what model works) or is the only way to get a resistor and splice? Thanks so much.

I am assuming that your problem is that the low-current-draw of any LED replacement "bulb" for the turn signals, will trigger the bulb-burnt-out detector.

Such a bulb-burnt-out detector use to be part of the flasher module/relay, and could be addressed by replacing the module/relay with different one. I don't think our JK's have a "old fashion" flashing module/relay.

The result would be that you need to supplement any LED "bulb" with a resistor.

Thanks, I've seen those mentioned a lot here, some caution on not using them period and that's why I've held off for now. I guess there really is no way around it.

Just curious. What lights did you use for reverse and interior lights? Got any pics?

I'd love to upgrade my reverse lights so I can see better at night.
