ok guys heres my problem, im thinking about making the plunge and dropping 10gs on a 5.5 lift 35s on my LJ. Now my real problem is how the hell is my dog going to get in and out of the jeep. Now as much as i would love to always have steps or something for the dog to get into i don't think it is practical for me to have in the jeep at all times. Does anyone have any ideas that i could bring the the table.

For the dog lovers out there she's a German Shepard 85 lbs, and its actually her jeep not mine..

my 70 pound pit isn't the most graceful and learned his lesson the first time he went to jump in and landed flat on his back. I have a 6.5 inch long arm and 37 inch boggers and the best way i found is to grab him and throw him on up. P.S this also is the same strategy i use with my girlfriend haha.

I gave up trying to coax my 75 lb. black lab to jump up into my TJ on 35's with 5" of lift, I just lift him up into the Jeep now. He's not much of a Jeep dog anyway, he gets scared on the usual rock crawling trails and crawls into my lap until we're back on a smooth part of the trail lol.

hahahaha aweseome, ok maybe picking the dog up is the way to go.

Yea my Lab won't usually jump in on her own anyway so I can't help you. And after having to pay for her to have knee surgery I don't know how much I'd want her jumping in and out of that high of a vehicle anyway. Something to think about.

With the doors off my 95 pound boxer jumps right in, I have 4 inch and 35's. He gets in my wife's lifted XJ on 33's. Sometimes he "misses" and his back legs don't make it, then I just give him a little push...

He is about 4.5 years.

8 pound dog (she thinks she's a 90 pound dog), so its an easy lift into the Jeep. ;)

I'm not lifted that I know of but my Husky has no issues jumping in (unless she is lazy) but what about getting your dog's front feet up then boosting him or her into the rig?

Otto step? I'll look into that thanks a lot guys greatly appreciate it. And just like green said I'm worried bc she already has some hip issues so I'm trying to make it easiest as possible. Thanks again

Cargo carrier in your Reese hitch. Unless the pup goes with you everywhere, I don't see it as being that un-practical.
Thats a great idea actually, never thought about that thanks.
I would worry about asphyxiation back there, among other unpleasantries.

Hahaha....actually I meant for the cargo carrier to be used as a step to get in the back of the tub.
:) Ahh. Gotcha. Good idea.
I have actually seen pictures of people putting a dog crate on those carriers.
Terrible idea!
