OK..was rotating my tires and noticed my e-brake was not engaging as usual so I wanted to adjust it. Took the two brake calipers bolts off my left rear, but I cannot slide my caliper off. Jeep was in park with the e-brake off. It was if the pads were engaged onto the rotor.

Anyhow, just wanted to know if I missed a step or need to do something different. Every other write up I have seen for brakes or e-brake says the caliper should just slide off.

Thanks!

Mike

You might need a hammer and then hit the caliber a few times all over it to try and loosen them. Might be rusted on a little.
Got to get them loose.
I would try that.
Good luck.

It will pry off with a pry rod or large screwdriver. Pretty normal.

The pads should be against the rotor making it difficult to remove. Use a C clamp to compress the piston and it will lift right off.
