It looks like 1 main difference for me is Tier 2 has a rubber bushing on one end and Tier 3 has a poly bushing. What would be the plus/minus of the bushings?
The plus is longevity of the bushings for poly. The minus is they transfer more road impact to the frame. Everyone's ass-o-meter is different. Some will not take the chance on poly. Doesn't sound like you are going to need the additional benefits poly provides, or the drawbacks.

Yes, good point. The rubber joint is most "stock" like, the adjustable end is still a high misalignment Johnny Joint.

Rubber joints have a little higher NVH suppression than poly. Their flex poly is designed to have a little higher misalignment capability.

Sorry, I was specifically looking at the T3 cores vs the Metalcloak Duroflex CAs. With the "Joint Alignment" this is what I was referring to..

The Metalcloak Duroflex joint is a steel sleeve that is suspended in a rubber bushing. If they didn’t align the joint as they do it would preload the rubber joint and cause premature wear. Sort of like tightening a stock rubber bushing with the suspension at full droop then setting it down. It would twist up the rubber and preload the joint causing premature failure. So they align the joint to the control arm bracket. The Metalcloak arms work very well and flex as good as any on the market. I have installed many sets with the Gamechanger lifts and they work well.

I have been running the Tier 3 Core 4X4 arms for 2 years or more. I purchased them from @AOR here. They have been awesome. There is no way you will break these. They are excellent quality and I easily use all the flex that my Falcon 3.3s provide. I would buy them again in a second. I’ve put 30,000 miles on them and they are still tight. I keep them greased with silicone Super Lube.

As far as joint alignment it is not necessary for them to align the joints like the Duroflex joints do. The Currie Johnny Joint is basically a ball of medal that is supported by two poly bushings. It isn’t attached so it rotates freely not requiring a specific alignment. The poly joint end is aligned to the control arm bracket so no issues there.

Between the 2 control arms I think that the Core are more durable and likely to take a hammering. If you held the 2 brands in your hand you would understand. The Metalcloak absorb a little more impact like a factory control arm bushing does which provides a quieter on road ride. A little less feel to impacts. I love my Core arms but you can’t go wrong with either arm.

Here is a picture showing the joint alignment.. Zoom in and you can get a pretty good look. The alignment is really not an issue.

By the way.. The arms are cleaned up but also 2 years old in this picture. Their powdercoating is phenomenal. The undersides of the lower arms is beat up (no damage) but that is to be expected.

This makes perfect sense, thanks.. I couldn't figure why so many would design their arms that way + I didn't quite buy "just because its cheaper". Didn't even think about the CJ joint.

"FREEHRDWR" still works from me for a full set of arms through April 30th 2019. Click here for your application.
I am getting ready to order a full set using the free hardware code.. It looks like the hardware price is $60 on the full set, and the code only gives a $40 discount.. Is this as intended, or is something amiss ?

(sorry, tried to PM, your box is full)

My apologies. Try it now. Management of this site has my account messed up. I had to pay for a supporting member account to get the ability to post here.

Have a blessed and prosperous day!
