I've been putting off giving my JKU the TLC it deserves, but I'm coming into a position where it's finally possible, and I want to start with the intake. Does anyone have any setups or brands they'd recommend?
So far, just a3.5" lift, 35" tires, and rock sliders. I want a little more performance out of it so intake and exhaust, and eventually upgraded lights, bumpers and fenders. What is your eventual goal with your Jeep?
Do you have any other mods?
Skip the intake and go right to headlights and bumpers... And when you do the exhaust, choose a high tuck for better "off road" performance. Well put. Also, a snorkel needs supporting mods like extended breather tubes and waterproofing parts and removing carpeting to ensure damage is minimal after a deep water crossing. The best performance mod for a Jeep once you go with bigger tires is the gearing. If you haven’t reprogrammed your speedo for the bigger tires then that will also help the trans shift properly.
A throttle programmer will give you a better performance feel.
Under hood CIA and throttle body spacers are just gimmicks. A snorkel on the other hand is useful.

I've been looking at getting the speedo programmer, but shifting isn't an issue, I have a manual. I didn't consider a snorkel because I'm in the middle of a desert and I thought they were just for water, will definitely look into oneThe best performance mod for a Jeep once you go with bigger tires is the gearing.
