That's lame, they only did part of their job. The other part is to figure out where the leak is going so you know what to expect as far as repairs go. Air leaking out of the exhaust pipe or intake would be a valve sealing issue, air leaking into the crank case would be a ring sealing issue.

So after about a month she's still kickin! But I wanted to know what your guys opinion was on if I should get a re manufactured engine the shop that works on my car said it would be warranted 3 years and be 4100 from start to finish since they don't do rebuilds. or I found a company that would rebuild my engine and convert it to a stroker but I haven't contacted them with a price yet. What are the pros and cons to both? I just want to keep my damn car!

Rizzy-I just got similar news yesterday on my 2005 Wrangler TJ. It's got 176,000 miles and I bought it in October. It had a check engine light, seller (who is a Jeep Wrangler and Cherokee only enthusiast) said it was probably spark plugs and replaced them. Check engine light came on again and the code was a Cyl 6 misfire. I changed the coil pack and the cyl 6 misfire continued. Brought it to a shop yesterday and they did a compression test, it said:

Cyl #1: 110
Cyl #2: 170
Cyl #3: 160
Cyl #4: 180
Cyl #5: 120
Cyl #6: 190

The mechanic said it's not good, the motor will need to be replaced. I contacted the seller immediately and he said he needs to make it right. Will continued driving of this make it worse? It idles funny. Thoughts?
