What are recommended exhaust system(s) primarily to increase gas efficiency in daily vehicle.

is it something I can install at home. I’m a beginner: I’ve replaced my air intake, Tstat at throttle body, downstream 02 sensors.

please advise. Thanks

Unfortunately our TJs will never be good on gas mileage and I believe the OEM exhaust is probably your best bet. What kind of MPG are you getting? How big of tires/lift? Why only the downstream o2 sensors and not all them? Also, what brand o2 sensors because our engines are picky and don't like a lot of them. What air intake, most agree that the OEM style one is best for our engines. What engine? What gear ratio?

A lot of factors go into this, but at the end of the day the aerodynamics of an old jeep is worse than a cow and will never get very good mileage. I average around 12mpg I think.

I guess people with stock tires can get close to 15 mpg. As best I can tell, I am about 11 mpg with 33's. I just added a spare tire carrier and a full-size spare, so probably down to 10.5 now. LOL. Maybe you could find a way to squeeze out 1 more mpg, but a Jeep (especially TJ) and a quest for better fuel economy might not be really the best use of time, money and effort.
