Been having battery issues with my 2019 Sahara JL. Late October, it would be totally dead overnite, so I replaced it. Angrily. Then paid $200 for a reprogram at Jeep service The other day my daughter told me while she was at a light, it "glitched out" on her and everything restarted. Seemed fine after that so we didn't get it serviced again. Well, today it was a dead stick again. No lights of any kind. Found with the wipers in the up position despite me not having used them the last time I was in the vehicle. Wouldn't start after a jump from a tow truck, or get into gear, but started doing all types of weird flashy light things and my wipers magically started going back and forth despite me not turning them on. I can't seem to upload video here and the pics don't show the magic happening. But it looked like a job for Ghostbusters. My tow truck driver clutched his chest. :ROFLMAO: I'll apparently need a tow to the dealership and I'm fresh out of warranty before you ask. (mileage) Don't normally keep my Jeeps this long as I like to switch colors every two years. This is not very reassuring. Was told the service light can mean anything so not to panic about it.

Do you have the secondary eTorque Battery or Aux battery as it is sometimes called?
That may be the culprit. I've witnessed crazy electrical behaviour on other vehicles when a battery is on its way out.

Unless it comes from the factory with that, then no. lol. I've done nothing to this car. I'm pretty vanilla. Had someone else try to jump me for a longer period of time. Still a non starter. Bunch of clicking. Nada.

Ha! You were correct! My vehicle does has the start/stop feature with the secondary battery! It sounded so technical, I had no idea what you were talking about. According to the dealership, my alternator and belt failed and dragged both batteries along with it to the tune of $2300+. 2 yr old car 46K miles. Apparently that is the standard life for a battery these days. My auto insurance is covering the alternator which amounts to just under $1000 of the cost.

There was a time where I was seriously considering going from my JK to a JL, but all these electrical gremlin stories do have me doubting any kind of move soon…
Forums (Internet) are a skewed look at those that have an issue or problem, but don't necessarily reflect the majority.
If you are happy with a vehicle, have nothing to complain about, you are unlikely to share that with the world.
I'm 16months into a '21 Rubicon ownership and have had absolutely no issues, no rattles, no squeaks, no electrical issues, no mechanical issues, no trim pieces falling apart.....nothing. My Rubicon is Awesome!!!
