I'm borrowing a move from Argent, off to order my ACE Sliders in honor of D1.:bop:
woo woo - you going to opt for pickup from their shop in Warren? I'm waiting till I have my Jeep so I can just drive over there and have them install them too while I wait!

ANOTHER day in D purgatory...

Jeep Gods, why hast thou forsaken me?!? :worthy::worthy::worthy:

Paul, did you give them my email address for the payoff?

:pcwhack::pullinghair::pc-ouch:

I hadn't thought about having them installed. Have you looked into installation costs?
They do it for free at their shop if you go pick them up - someone else said it took about 15 minutes for them to install :)

Oh I'm sorry - thought you were just giving ME money :p

and melmichigan - if that's true that's pretty awesome :) I know my friends Wrangler showed up in like 2-3 weeks when she ordered one a few years ago.

:funnypost:

Just gotta keep telling myself, "Buy a house. Move into house. THEN pick up jeep!"

:lmao:

If you order through their webpage there's an option for having them installed there. By time you're done checking out I think I remember there being a $16 handling charge for pickup at the shop so it doesn't work out to exactly free but you pay that for pickup whether they install 'em or not. With the PITA involved with grinding the washers it's worth every penny.

Thanks for popping in MotorCityJK and clarifying that :)

also found out I can stop by Maximus-3 in Auburn Hills to pick up the bumper add-on as well and save shipping :D

(might try to schedule both of them on the same day since I'll be out on that side of town)

That'd be a quick drive up I75. If you're a beer fan and need a lunch stop look up Clubhouse BFD, Dragonmead Brewing, or Griffen Claw Brewing while you're in the area. All worth the stop but would give BFD the nod on food and overall beer selection.

I was just at Griffin Claw and Black Lotus on Sunday....Griffin Claw was certainly forgettable but Black Lotus was good (beer and food!) and I love Final Absolution at Dragonmead :)

Completely off Topic for a sec: Have considered joining MBG since we typically do the Winter and Fall (Eastern Market) Beer fests. Griffin Claw...love the pub & beer, unimpressed by the food. Black Lotus....long story and don't go there anymore. BFD I think you'd like but doesn't open until 2pm during the week.

Can't let this slip off the first page and die, gang! :D

So, who's planning on wheeling their new jeep?

Who's going to be a mall crawler?

Probably more mall crawler than wheeler - but my relatives do go out every summer to play in the sand dunes (sand drags, hill climbs, etc) and so I'll probably tag along with them and go play in the sand :)

A friend of mine down in North Carolina has an 09 JKU and has invited me down to go crawling with him - and possibly do the Jeep Badge of Honor trail over in Tennessee...

I want to play in that sand pit, too! :) I don't know where it is, but any sand is my kind of wheeling place!

If you are going from North Carolina to Tennessee, I'm guessing you'll be close to Asheville. Ask your cousin if he's ever run Hurricane Creek. We did it this summer. My first time ever wheeling on anything other than FLAT Florida sand/mud. What a day!!! First time through with the group, Mike drove, took us about an hour and a half. Then we went back through, just us with me driving, and it took us over three hours! I drove like an old grandma. I was terrified I was going to do something to hurt his jeep. His solution: "It's fine if anything happens to my jeep. I'll just get the 2014 and YOU can keep this one!" :lmao:

Hahaha - nice

I'd probably be that way too my first time on a trail more than sand or a two track...

I'll ask him - he lives between Greensboro and Durham...so a bit north east of Ashville...but I know he's gone to some pretty cool places in his JKU - including out to the ocean and rode the beach.

As a nature photographer - I am hoping that my Jeep will take me on some excellent adventures off the beaten path where I can get some beautiful shots. the Upper Peninsula here in Michigan is a beautiful place with lots of mountains and woods and trails waiting to be explored!
