Nicely centered, fairly well bent. Plus it's not easy to bend big pipes cleanly. I give this project a C+.Its almost perfect looking

Ok "tube style" bumpers are useless.Correction, Bumpers made of light gauge material and built for looks are useless. Tubing in a proper gauge and built with proper bracing and triangulation would be quite strong.
Thousands of offroad racing vehicles have proven it's worth over the years.
Doesn't look as though it protected much in that pic'It is a personal preference to have either a tube bumper or something else and we all can blame it or support it, but I believe you guys are missing a point here just looking at destroyed bumper. The bumper just have done its job; it did what it supposes to do - to protect the frame and body of the vehicle. It compensated the impact and bent to reduce the front hit. Otherwise, with hard built bumper you probably would see totaled car and 100% crashed and bloody windshield with brain on it. In this case the owner will need to take care of himself, replace front grill, hood, bumper and probably fix front part of the frame. So I would not say a bad word about this particular bumper
We do not know how hard was the impact on that picture. But to me the jeep is not totaled and can be fixed easy. And driver looks like survived after that without serious injures (I hope so). It is simple physics and I do not have to explain how the impact force distributed between two things, to me the bumper absorbed the impact and transferred a residual force to body and frame. The bumper does not have to be stronger than frame in my opinion.Doesn't look as though it protected much in that pic'![]()
Just curios if you had frontal impact? It looks like you had front-side hit, I may be wrong. Hope you were ok. How about jeep, did you fix it or....I think with out them tho it would have totally crushed my grill and motor and me.
