I was under the assumption that the $400 premium soft top had tinted windows, but the standard one didn't. I mainly guessed this because it was commonly known that the premium top was the upgraded Bestop fabric, which when ordered from Bestop has tinted windows.
Today I finally saw a premium soft top in person at a dealership, but it had clear plastic windows... So I started to guess why. Then I looked inside and saw there was no electric windows... And the back door (glass) windows were not tinted... Hence this model didn't have the popular 24S package, which includes deep tint, which i assumed referred to glass windows. It was a 24C package.
That when I decided to call Jeep and ask specifically if the premium top should have tinted to clear windows, because it was not spelled out.
At first they didn't have the answer... So it took about 5 minutes to get a definitive response.
So... What they said is that when you have a package that includes deep tint, such as the 24S, you get deep tint in whatever top(s) you order. So regardless of hard or soft top, and theoretically regular or premium soft tops, you get tinted windows.
