Top Down, Doorless - March - October 2013

N.VA, took the top down first week of Mar. 3rd week of Mar the doors came off. They were off for 7 months. The temps were between 35-42* in March. I can atest to pulling the top up before it hits 50*. Other wise your going to spend a while getting it latched into place & putting the windows back in.

I did have 5 showers in the jeep last year. & had to remove the seats & carpets 3 times. 3 days later, everything was dry.

The top will come down & doors off in 2014 when I know were not going to get any more snow in N.VA. Temps don't matter. Just dress for the conditions. :iamhappy:

I rarely go doorless. I might take fronts off occasionally, but never remove the rear because I have a dog and he feels more comfortable with doors on. Top off it needs to be 70 and at least two days with no rain. In Dallas, we were 74 today and going to be 35 for a high tomorrow. I can't be the only one that hates cold weather!!!

Hey guys I just bought my first jeep 2014 jk wrangler and I'm thinking of running a AT 31x10.5r15 I don't wanna lift my jeep will this fit without rubbing ?

Welcome to WF...

Dude, don't hijack threads....

Sold my hardtop and I'm going to get the trektop installed at a shop about 5 miles from me next Tuesday (too cold to do it at home) and its supposed to be low 20s that day. That will be my coldest topless ride. I'll be wearing thermals and my hunting overalls. Normally doors and top off late May through September here in NE Ohio, unless its raining then run just top no windows. Pull the carpet and the plugs, get waterproof seat covers and enjoy the freedom!

50 as the low for when the top comes down. Doors, maybe a bit warmer. Usually keep them on as I don't have too much garage space for 4 doors, just weekend outings when they come off.

Ours:

Top and doors on < 70*F, seat heater and cabin heater on if it's much cooler than that.
Top off and doors on > 70*F but less than 80*F.
Top and doors on > 80*F and the AC on.
Wow that is specific and an incredibly limited range. Ever try a bikini top or maybe spider shade with doors off on the 80-90 days? That might get you a bit more options.

Anyway I found last year that from low 60's to 70 or so I needed the doors on or I was wearing a jacket. No top at that point. Anything higher then 70 and doors and top were off. I think the coldest I rode no top (but with doors on) was mid 50's and then it was time to close her up.

This summer will be different as I'm going with no carpet, drain plugs out, waterproof seat covers, trektop NX in bikini mode and no doors all spring/summer/fall. I just got the NX and a full set of 2 piece Bestop super doors so if it's really cold or really storming I can throw full fabric doors and rear windows on if need be (like when the family is in the Jeep).

Havent tried with top completely off, planning this summer. But so far when removing doors and freedom panels i noticed temperature below 65* is not that fun and dendy like if it was 65*+. I just purchased Spiderwebshade and cant wait for spring/summer warm days to eventually install/use it.

Running topless in upper 40's this January wasn't bad at all with the heater running. My wife may not share my opinion though.

I've done minimum of 35*-45*F, no rain, only safari top for couple out of town trips. Generally the doors usually come off in April and don't go back on till like October. Temperature ranges from 45s* to 115s*F. Right now the lows are in the 40s/50s*F and highs are 70s*F, unusually warm for January, so the doors are off for now.
